About the event
Learn how to be a peacemaker! https://tinyurl.com/avpnj-2024-10/Â
Do you want to be a peacemaker? Then sign up for this interactive workshop with the Alternatives to Violence Project. Using people’s life experiences and hands-on exercises, we explore how to respond peacefully in conflict situations where frustration and anger can lead to hostility. This is also a first step in learning to facilitate peace programs in your community.
This AVP workshop helps us to:Â
- Understand why conflict happensÂ
- Manage strong feelings such as anger and fearÂ
- Communicate well in difficult situationsÂ
- Be true to ourselves while respecting othersÂ
- Activate the peacemaking skills we already have
